Great product!

This hard drive is great! I had a previous clunker that took up a lot of space. The Toshiba 500 GB easily plugs into a USB port and doesn't require an additional power source. It is very small and easily fits into my computer bag. I recommend this hard drive for anyone looking for a way to store a lot of material and not take up a lot of space.

Its a very nice hard drive, works well on my MacBook Pro and others computers with Windows. This is super lightweight! and I love its appearance. This is my first external hard drive I ever had and I can handle it very good, so its so easy to use!

Toshiba External Hard Drive

I purchased this item, as I was having serious problems with my desktop computer,
and needed to save information. This was easy to use, and I have since hooked it up to another computer,and all data seems complete. The only problem I encountered is that I was not able to utilize the preloaded software. Instead I did a copy and paste. I do not know if this was a problem with the Toshiba, or with my own computer. I would purchase this again if the need arises.

I tutor seniors in computer skills and teach both Excel and Word at a very large active-adult community in CA. Almost no one gives any thought to backing up their data. This seems to be universal, but there is an easy answer; buy a Toshiba, USB powered, external hard drive. It's economical, plug & play, and because it's USB powered there's no bulky a/c block.The NTI software allows easy, daily scheduling of back-ups of your data and full-system; each separately. The graphics are beautifully designed and show clearly the status of your back-up history on a calendar display. The unit intentionally comes with a short power cord. It won't work if you use a USB extension due to line-loss. I have two of them and they work flawlessly. WBG
