Good Value, Good Performance

The detector is good overall. It does go off from interference, but that doesn't really bother me because it shows it's working. Since 90% of the interference is on the X band, which is considered obsolete for police use (I've never seen police using it either) there is a mode that doesn't detect X band, virtually eliminating false readings. I've really only seen K band used by police. I recommend this detector, but don't use it to drive dangerously..

We had a whistler for years that eventually wore out so we replaced it with this whistler. It seems to be functioning very well. We hope it will last many years like the old whistler.

Excellent bang for the buck. It does what I need it do and you can't beat the price. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the more expensive units have but all I wanted was a basic detector to warn me in advance which this detector does perfectly. If you don't wanna spend an arm and a leg and want a good radar detector, then this is the unit to buy. I am very pleased.
